Stress management is a growth industry, and if I was not under so much pressure right now, I would try to read some of these books on stress.
Weil and Rosen have a good one, explaining why we often feel overwhelmed, frustrated and irritated by the flood of new technology affecting our lives at every turn.
Weil, a clinical psychologist in Orange, and husband Rosen, a psychology professor at California State University, Dominguez Hills, offer practical advice on how to manage the onslaught of new technology.
"Recognize that there is more technology than you will ever want or be able to use. With technology, like magazine subscriptions, you get to select what you want and only use what works for you," they write. "It's OK to leave the rest alone."
